Cold-Brew Coffee Kegs at Bars; EndGame Plots A Cafe

CASTRO—Blackbird now boasts a unique tap behind its bar: a keg loaded with cold-brew coffee, from a company called Joyride that primarily supplies said kegs to fancypants tech offices. Bar manager Matt Grippo uses it in a cocktail called the NOLA Iced Coffee, with bourbon, cold brew, chicory tincture, and lactart. DOWNTOWN OAKLAND—Games shop EndGame is going into the cafe business, with a Kickstarter to open EndGame Cafe next door. Expect locally-sourced coffee, food items, late hours, and of course, plenty of games.
