At Ichi Sushi + Ni Bar, Bauer unsurprisingly cheered the already well-loved nigiri ("Every bite is self-contained and seasoned to bring out the best in the fish"), but he was also an advocate of the new izakaya fare: "the kitchen is equally skilled with hot food," from the miso asari clams to "one of the best versions of fried chicken wings I've tasted." Skewers and the beverage selection were the only downsides; overall, Ichi is "a restaurant that has found even more devotees in its new location...you know you'll be in good hands." 2.5 stars, and 3 for food.
