When popular (though unpermitted) Mission street cart Pie Fridays was shut down in February, proprietor Sunde White launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a brick-and-mortar cafe all her own. But after surveying the considerable challenges of opening up a new spot, Sunde made the hard choice to halt her project. She's decided to cancel the campaign and retire her pie cart from the corner of 19th and Linda for good, sticking a fork in future pie plans. [Chron]
