Visitors to wine country will be very happy to learn that as of this week, ridesharing service Uber has landed in Napa. Considering the spread-out region lacks for transit options outside of pricey buses and limos, the service should be a major boon to local restaurants and wineries, allowing patrons to get from place to place without drinking and driving. The current service area is from Napa to Yountville (an UberX ride from downtown Napa to the French Laundry is estimated to run $20), but expect it to expand soon. [EaterWire]
