After six years on San Pablo Avenue, it looks like Albany's popular Zaki Kabob House will be forced to say goodbye. A new landlord recently purchased the property and offered to sell it to its owners, the Ayyad family, but they couldn't afford the $700K price tag. The restaurant will close on June 1, and is also cutting back lunch hours to Friday-Sunday in the month before the closure. [Berkeleyside Nosh]
