Radius boasts one of the few patios in western SOMA, and it's become increasingly popular with lunchtime diners from the growing stream of local tech offices. Add in a staff full of soccer fanatics who play in an indoor league together, and it's no surprise that owner Jon Whitehead has decided to give the patio some extra love. Just in time for tomorrow's 9 am USA vs. Germany game, Radius has gotten new picnic tables for a beer-garden vibe, plus a 70" flat-screen TV on the patio and another 65" flat-screen in the adjoining, semi-open private dining room. They'll be open for every morning game for the remainder of the Cup, and will donate 50 cents from every beer and $1 from every wine carafe sold during Cup games to the SF Food Bank and SF Baykeeper. And yes, we've added them to our Cup viewing guide, which is now 33 spots strong.
