Trick Dog Gets New Chef, Chris Kronner Pop-Up

There's been a shakeup in the kitchen at Trick Dog, as Chester Watson has left the restaurant and been replaced by Michael Logan (left), who most recently cooked at The Battery and has also worked at South at SFJAZZ and NYC's Maialino. While the Trick Dog burger, thrice-cooked fries, and kale salad will remain menu mainstays, Logan will slowly introduce some of his own menu items over the course of the summer.

This kitchen transition, however, means there's room for a pop-up, and with his Kronnerburger space in Oakland still under construction, Chris Kronner (right) has the bandwidth to handle a few days of kitchen duty. He'll be serving French-influenced food similar to his Bistro Ordinaire pop-ups in Oakland (no burgers, dishes $10-20), with wines chosen by his regular Oakland host, Ordinaire owner Bradford Taylor. Catch him this Sunday-Tuesday, 6 pm-1 am.
