Finger-lickingly good fried chicken is the order of the day at new pop-up Abura-ya, which is taking the night shift at downtown Oakland's Garden House. Run by a trio of Onigilly alums, it offers chicken marinated in sake and shio koji, fried, and topped with a choice of sauces (options include ginger-agave teriyaki and shichimi salt). Chicken sliders, yaki onigiri, and vegan options are also offered. Catch them Thursday-Sunday, 6-10 pm. [EBX]
