Though Pi Dan Noodle House won't be going through in uptown Oakland after the passing of founder Allison Chen, its space and design have found new life in another Asian restaurant. Taiwan Bento, from Taiwanese natives Stacy Tang and Willy Wang, will offer fast-casual lunch boxes with dishes like minced braised pork rice and beef noodle soup, accompanied by small side dishes. Tang, a culinary newbie who's currently training in the kitchen of Pican's Sophina Uong, is aiming for a July debut. [Inside Scoop]
