Postmates, the popular local delivery app that's become a sort of de facto delivery arm for restaurants that don't themselves deliver, is now making a play for the South Bay. Tomorrow, they'll launch service in all of Atherton, Menlo Park, Mountain View, and Palo Alto, ranging from Woodside Road to Highway 85. In honor of the launch, they're offering free delivery through the end of June, as well as $50 in delivery credit to the first 250 folks in the area to sign up. And if that wasn't enough of an incentive, they'll also be giving out free Pizzeria Delfina meatballs tomorrow via the app—just order at either 11:30 am or 1:30 pm, and they'll come to your door gratis (quantities limited). They also deliver grocery and pharmacy items, dry cleaning, prescriptions, and other stuff that is more boring than free meatballs.
