CUESA Names Leader; Napa Auction Nets $18 Million

FERRY BUILDING—Ferry Plaza Farmers Market organizing force CUESA has found a new executive director in Marcy Coburn, formerly the director of the Food Craft Institute and communications director for the Ecological Farming Association. [Inside Scoop]

NAPA—This weekend's powerhouse vintner's auction blasted through last year's record with an $18.7 million haul to be distributed towards a range of local causes, with a case of Bill Harlan's forthcoming Promontory wine, a trip to the Oscars and a variety of other luxury prizes going for big bucks (it didn't hurt that dinner came from Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood).
