A little over a year after opening as a bakery, and four months after switching to a full-service restaurant format, Temescal's Barkada has called it quits. Though pastry chef Christina Bondoc's sweet treats found a following, the space's concept shuffles may have gotten the better of them as the original cafe vibe made way for a wifi- and laptop-free sit-down space.
