Akiko's, the 18-year-old sushi spot that got a new lease on life thanks to a revised omakase focus and a glowing Bauer review, has lost its acclaimed chef, Ricky Yap. Yap decided to leave the restaurant, citing differences with owner Ray Lee, who bought Akiko's out from his parents four years back.
