Bauer's journey to the past continues at Tadich Grill, which "is still the place I want to go for sand dabs (or petrale sole), lightly breaded and sauteed." The only changes in SF's oldest restaurant seem to be for the better: "now the vegetables retain some crunch," and "the servers — which I used to think could be dismissive — were on this visit gracious, funny and efficient." Dessert is the only disappointment. "When you say Classic San Francisco, Tadich still deserves to be at the top of the list." [Chron]
