"It's hard not to be captivated by the skill" of Mitsunori Kusakabe at his eponymous restaurant, where diners are launched on a "culinary journey" with the $95 omakase menu. Highlights for Bauer include a "strong and subtle" summer truffle soup, "intriguing" Copper River salmon, and "expertly prepared" sea urchin. It's a meal that leaves you "as satisfied and refreshed as if you've had a relaxing massage and rest." 3.5 stars makes it Bauer's favorite newcomer so far this year. [Chron]
