Outside Lands has no lack of stages, with several for musical artists, a DJ tent, and a tent for comedians. But at previous festivals, the main stages for the many local chefs involved have been their individual booths, and the food coming out of them. No longer: for this year's festival, Outside Lands is introducing GastroMagic, a series of live stage shows featuring a bevy of chefs and restaurateurs, many of them joined by the musical and comedy talent playing the rest of the festival. Produced in partnership with Chefs Feed, the lineup will include Christopher Kostow (The Restaurant at Meadowood), Chris Cosentino (Porcellino), Evan Rich (Rich Table), Brandon Jew (formerly of Bar Agricole), and Richie Nakano (Hapa Ramen). They'll be joined by musicians like Big Freedia and Holy Ghost! and comedians like Craig Robinson, Lewis Black and Matt Besser, with plenty of gratis food and drink distributed to the audience throughout. And did we mention the live version of Chefs Read Bad Yelp Reviews?

Here's the full lineup of events:

So how to get the free food? The stage will have a tasting table with ten seats that'll be given over to whomever gets in line before the performance. If there's a chef whose food you're dying to taste for the low, low price of $0, line up early. Everyone else will still have access to seating (an OL rarity) and a lounge area, which is a pretty good bonus. And of course, if that isn't enough culinary action, you also have Outside Lands' massive lineup of food and drinks to contend with. Here's what everyone will be serving this year.
