Wolfert Tribute Raises $34K; Uptown's Off the Grid

OAKLAND—Last month saw a very special tribute dinner for longtime cookbook author Paula Wolfert at Camino, and the fundraising results are in: all told, the event raised a whopping $34,000 in donations to the Alzheimer's Association. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND—Starting next week, Uptown Oakland will be the latest neighborhood to add a new Off the Grid food truck gathering. Every Monday from 5pm-9pm, look for the likes of Roderick's BBQ, Doc's of the Bay, Garden Creamery, Whip Out and Frozen Kuhsterd to rotate through the space outside The Uptown apartment complex on Williams Street.
