Congrats to Reilly Meehan, the chef behind Castro pop-up Bespoke Doughnuts, who was the first runner-up in the world finals of the Hans Bueschkens Young Chefs Challenge. Meehan, who represented the Americas at the Worldchefs Biennial Congress in Norway this past weekend, beat out chefs from across North and South America to compete for the title, which went to Denmark's Kasper Christensen. But being named the #2 young chef on the globe is definitely still a major achievement. [EaterWire]
