With locations in Berkeley and on Valencia Street, southern Indian spot Udupi Palace has developed a dedicated following for its affordable dosas and ample vegetarian options. Now, a third location has debuted on Scott Street in the Marina, a neighborhood known more for its bars and boutiques than its ethnic food options.
The new outpost takes the former Cedar Hill BBQ space, which was vacated a year ago. With an awning and menu that match the Valencia Street location, don't expect many deviations from the formula that's got the Mission spot going strong: a selection of dosas, uthapams and curries, plus lassi and masala chai options. Once their liquor license clears, they'll also have beer and wine available.
