A trio of masked men held up a Potrero dive bar at closing time on Friday night/Saturday morning, brandishing guns and forcing patrons onto the ground. According to a police report, the incident took place on the 400 block of Potrero Avenue, which is only home to one bar, Mission Hill Saloon. You may not recognize the name, as it's gone through various incarnations in recent years, from Sadie's Flying Elephant to The Unresolved Love Life of Evelyn Lee.
Mission Local reports that three masked men, dressed in black, entered the bar at around 1:45am on Saturday and demanded that the 10 or patrons get on the ground. Two of the suspects kept them there, while the third stole cash from the register and the contents of the tip jar. The suspects also stole cash and credit cards from one victim, and a purse from another. According to witnesses, they fled the scene in a maroon, four-door sedan. No one was injured in the incident, and the vehicle and suspects have not been located.
