Before the late Judy Rodgers brought her legendary skills to Zuni Cafe, another woman ran the kitchen: her onetime mentee, Kathi Riley Smith. Now, nearly 30 years later, Smith is back in Zuni's kitchen, helping out so executive chef Ken Turner can take a vacation; she'll spend 2-3 days a week in the kitchen through November.
