Square has bought its way into the delivery wars: the SF-based mobile payments giant announced yesterday that it'd be acquiring Caviar for what's rumored to be around $100 million. Caviar, which focuses on delivery from top restaurants (their SF slate includes Ike's Place, Kin Khao, Porcellino, Brenda's, and Alta CA, among others), promptly celebrated the deal by halving their delivery price for the month of August, to $5.
