Philz Coffee Considering Castro Location Switcheroo

The smallest member of the growing Philz Coffee empire is the Castro location (4023 18th St.), which can get pretty cramped during the morning rush. So the chain is thinking of making a move to a bigger home on Castro Street, targeting the vacant space/former campaign headquarters at #549. Because of its numerous locations, however, it has to go through the formula-retail law gauntlet; if it doesn't pass, the chain may pull out of the Castro altogether. [Hoodline]
