All-Star Donuts only shut down on Monday, but a taker has already been announced for the 28-year-old donut shop's prime corner space on Chestnut. As Inside Scoop reports, Glaze Teriyaki Grill will be turning the vacated space into its second SF location (the first, on Fillmore in Pacific Heights, opened last April). At only 750 square feet, the new Glaze will be much smaller than the original, with more of a takeout emphasis, but the menu of Seattle-style teriyaki, rice, salad, and beer and wine will be much the same. They're planning on offering some outdoor seating, and also plan to hold onto All-Star's iconic sign, reincorporating it into the decor. The new Glaze should land in early summer of 2015.
