VeganBurg to Open Next Fall; Brian Limoges Pop-Up at Naked Kitchen

Plus, Batter by the Bay is back and lady pizzaiolos are in it to win it.

UPPER HAIGHT— Looks like vegans are finally getting the burgs they deserve. VeganBurg, a Singapore-based food chain specializing in faux-meat burgers, is moving into the former All You Knead storefront on Haight. After an intense interior overhaul to remove all signs of the squatters camp that previously occupied the vacant space, VeganBurg plans to open next fall. [Hoodline]

NORTH BEACHLaura Meyer, head pizzaiolo at Tony's Pizza, recently competed in the Caputo Cup, a global pizza championship event. She was the only female out of 45 competitors to participate in the event, representing past winner (and boss) Tony Gemignani. So, no pressure. [EaterWire]

MISSION— Join chef Brian Limoges, currently sous chef at Quince, for a winter pop-up at Naked Kitchen. The seven-course communal dinner ($80) is a celebration of winter produce; it's also BYOB, so get your brown bag ready. Dinner is 7:30pm, January 25. Buy tickets here. [EaterWire]

LOWER HAIGHT— Irish lass Gillian Fitzgerald is serving up her extremely popular fish and chips at her Batter by the Bay pop-up. The fried fun goes from 5pm-9pm, January 27th, at Wing Wings. Don't be late, last time they ran out of the crispy bits early! [EaterWire]
