It's almost time to bring out the leis at Liholiho Yacht Club, which is set to debut on Wednesday night. To whet your appetite for its Hawaiian and Indian-inspired fare, here's a first peek inside. We've already hashed out many of the details, but to recap, it's the brick-and-mortar realization of Ravi Kapur's long-running pop-up, with an assist from the Nopa/Nopalito team of Allyson Jossel and Jeff Hanak, as well as wine and cocktails from Nopa's Lulu McAllister and Yanni Kehagiaras.
The schoolhouse-chic space, which seats 80, was designed by architect Brett Terpeluk (best known in the restaurant world for the Mission's Farina), and features schoolhouse-style chairs, a yellow-tiled kitchen, and rad blue-and-white floor tiles. And if you're wondering who that gorgeous wahine over the bar is, it's none other than Kapur's mom, circa 1975. We'll have the full menu, plus any other crucial intel, on opening day.
