Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is about to hit the streets of San Francisco, just in time to totally ruin everyone's attempts at diet and exercise. The Columbus, Ohio-based artisanal ice cream company is bringing their Street Treats Truck to SF. Jeni Britton Bauer, the eponymous queen of ice cream, is here to attend the Good Food Awards (for which she is a finalist) and the Specialty Food Association Leadership Awards.
They'll be selling scoops of their ridiculously, ridiculously good-tasting ice cream flavors like salty caramel, goat cheese with red cherries and brambleberry crisp; two scoops for $5, three for $6. They'll also have pints for sale, if a couple scoops of the good stuff just isn't enough (it won't be). The truck will make several stops in SF before trundling over to the East Bay, so don't miss the chance to reach ice cream nirvana.
