Lazy Bear, one of the hottest tickets in town, is teaming up with other Mission talent to put on a one-night-only event. Chef David Barzelay recruited neighborhood chefs Val Cantu (Californios), Brett Cooper (Aster), James Syhabout (Hawker Fare), Richie Nakano (Hapa Ramen) and more to make a canape and up to two courses for the blowout $315 per person evening (which, while inclusive of drinks, does not include a 20 percent service charge and tax). One hundred percent of proceeds are benefitting the Agricultural Institute of Marin. "We found that people are really eager to get into our special event dinners, so I thought we would be able to donate a fair bit to the Agricultural Institute of Marin, which runs the San Rafael farmers market," Barzelay told Eater. "A lot of chefs from the city go up there every Thursday to purchase products, and we get 95 percent of our produce from farmers markets, so it’s important to me."

Tickets go on sale for the dinner, which is being called "New Kids On the Block," this Friday, October 16 at 12 p.m. on Lazy Bear's ticketing site, and knowing how fast dinner at the restaurant sells out (every single ticket since the night it opened), you may want to have your refresh button ready.
