Pizza Orgasmica has had a busy week. First, the Clement location closed, and now, the Financial District location is rebranding to Gochees Pizza. (For the change-averse: the Fillmore and San Rafael locations are staying the same.) Pizza Orgasmica co-owner Gina Gochez (Gochez, Gochees, get it?) is the sole owner of the FiDi location, and so she plans to tweak the concept to her liking, Hoodline reported. That includes switching to more “American-style” pizza with a thicker crust, adding a white pizza to the menu and using higher-quality ingredients. The space will get a slight upgrade with “fine art photography” to decorate the walls, and Gochez hired an “excellent manager” to put the focus on table service instead of grab-and-go slices. Prices may go up a bit, but lunch specials ($7.75 for two slices and a soft drink) and happy hour prices (one slice and a wine or beer for $7.50) will remain. The rebrand should be in place toward the end of the year.
