Ca'Momi Osteria, Now Open In Napa, Is Right Out of Italy

The recipes are all straight from Italy.

Exactly five years to the day after opening Ca’Momi Enoteca in Napa’s Oxbow Public Market, owner and Italian native Valentina Guolo-Migotto finally has the restaurant she wants in Ca’Momi Osteria, now open in downtown Napa. Meant to be a wine bar with snacks, the market’s enoteca inadvertently grew into a restaurant as more and more dishes were added to the menu. Until now, when the enoteca has gone back to pizza only, and Ca’Momi Osteria functions as the group’s full-on restaurant, with an extensive menu of antipasti, entrees, vegetables, VPN-certified pizzas, housemade pastas and lots of offal. The recipes are all Guolo-Migotto’s, and she sources them from her home country. "I research them and make sure I go to the oldest and most traditional version of the recipe," she explained. "For example, the tortellini in brodo is a recipe certified by a committee in Bologna in 1974 as the original tortellini, so that’s the one we have on the menu."

The bar will of course serve the brand’s own Ca’Momi wine, plus beer brewed on site and Italian-leaning cocktails that feature amaro. Ca’Momi Osteria is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Take a look around the space above.
