It took a little longer than anticipated, but the downtown Delarosa location is officially set to soft open tonight at 4 p.m. Food- and drink-wise, the restaurant is a clone of the original in the Marina with pizzas, pastas, antipasti and more, and the full bar serves craft beer, cocktails and wine. It can fit 120 people inside, and also like the original, will have a 46-seat outdoor patio soon. Right now it’s dinner only, but lunch and brunch are soon to follow.
Owner Adriano Paganini (Super Duper Burger, Uno Dos Tacos, Belga) designed the space with Hannah Collins and went for a modern Italian feel with large graphic murals from artist Melissa Wagner. Delarosa is open every day from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. (which should add a nice late-night option for workers nearby).
