In the past few months, three restaurants have been shut down by the Health Department on Market Street in Castro. Just this week, Bombay Indian Restaurant closed because of a “severe rodent infestation,” Hoodline reported, adding to Sliderbar (now Ovok) and Janchi (rebranded from Mandu and Barracuda before), which were both shut down for vermin infestations earlier this year. SFist points out they’re all on the same block, and that’s not even to mention the closures of Slider’s Diner and Posh Bagels nearby in the neighborhood for similar reasons. Let’s hope the closures don’t continue.
