The Future Bars guys are at it again. Bringing you serious cocktail bars like Bourbon & Branch, Rickhouse and The Devil’s Acre, Doug Dalton and Brian Sheehy have a new concept in the works next door to Rickhouse in the Financial District. Just don’t ask them what it is. “This is nothing that we’re even close to at this point,” Dalton told Eater. “Any of the concepts are very premature.” Despite reports that it may be a tiki bar, Dalton denies that it’s definite. “The news about it being a tiki bar is a little premature. We’re still finalizing everything,” he explained. “We haven’t even gone to the city yet; we don’t have permits or anything of that nature. This is nothing that’s going to even open in this quarter.”
Here’s what we do know: the Future Bars guys are opening a bar. And given their history of opening legit drinking dens, you should be excited. Stay tuned for more details once they’ve ironed them out.
