Iza Ramen has been a weekend-only pop-up inside the Mission's Blowfish Sushi for two years. Finally though, lovers of chef/owner Ritsuo Tsuchida's ramen can get it seven days a week in the new permanent location at 237 Fillmore Street (where Squat & Gobble used to be).

Tablehopper reports that the permanent restaurant will feature an expanded menu with an affordable price point. Dishes will include ramen (with a vegetarian option) and tsukemen ("dipping ramen") both available spicy or regular ($11.50 - $12.50). There will also be rice bowls and appetizers like takoyaki octopus balls and karaage fried chicken. Check out the entire menu here

The space has also undergone an entire revamp. Though the structure is the same, Hoodline writes that it now has "dark walls, wooden tables, and wooden bench seating that runs along the right-hand wall." Two types of pendant lighting hang from the ceiling and it seats about 50.

Iza Ramen softly opens tonight at 5 p.m. and will serve dinner until 11 p.m. Hours for the first couple of weeks will be flexible, but lunch is coming next week. The Iza Ramen pop-up at Blowfish Sushi will also continue into November, but will then be replaced by Ramen JuBay, a new pop-up serving a pork-based ramen.
