Here now take a look inside Grand Fare Market, the massive combination oyster bar, market, café and park with lots going on. Husband-wife team Doug Washington and Freya Prowe (Town Hall, Salt House, Anchor & Hope) officially opened its doors to the public today, where you’ll find grocery items, an oyster bar, a beer and wine corner, a flower shop, a cafe with salads, sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie to go, as well as hot food from executive chef Ben Coe like rotisserie chicken, porchetta sandwiches and meatballs. There's also a 1948 Airstream-style trailer serving housemade pastries, Linea coffee and Humphry Slocombe ice cream, and it can all be enjoyed in the 3,500-square-foot outdoor patio-garden. Grand Fare also offers classes and workshops on topics like chocolate making, pickling and farming. The market's hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the coffee trailer is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
