MISSION — In case you hadn’t heard (since it was on Jimmy Fallon and all), Mission Chinese has a new Chinese burrito, and it’s currently a mash-up of salt cod fried rice and mapo tofu (future versions could contain cumin lamb or beef and brisket). Eater NY critic Robert Sietsema got a taste, and it looks just as bonkers as it sounds; head here to take a peek inside. [EaterWire]

NAPAThomas Keller has signed on to do the food at this year’s Frys.com open at Silverado Resort and Spa from October 12 to 18 near the 18th tee. It’s called "Thomas Keller’s Drive-In: Cuisine by the Green" and will feature Ad Hoc, Addendum and Bouchon Bakery favorites like lobster rolls, fried chicken, scones and cookies. [EaterWire]

MISSION — Chefs Jaime Tjahaja and Mike Ortiz are hosting a pop-up at 18 Reasons this Thursday, October 8 at 8 p.m. with dishes like wild salmon belly and braised pork shoulder. Head here for the full menu and tickets. [EaterWire]

JAPANTOWN — Starting tomorrow, Dosa on Fillmore Street is launching a one-week-long foie gras and caviar menu for dishes like spiced scallops with osetra caviar and seared foie gras with pickled grapes. [EaterWire]
