Shed Hosting a Japan Month; Caviar Wants to Feed You Free Señor Sisig

HEALDSBURG — It’s Japan month at Shed, which is hosting a ton of events throughout October, including a soba workshop on October 10, a donabe dinner party on October 25, a hand-pulled soba bar until October 11 and the cafe menu has rotating Japanese dishes from visiting chefs and authors. SAN FRANCISCO — Starting 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning on the app, Caviar’s offering the entire Señor Sisig truck menu for just $10 and if you order before 2 p.m., you’re eligible to win lunch from the truck for up to 50 people. [EaterWire]

MISSION — Chef Telmo Faria is trying to spread the gospel of Portuguese food with two pop-up dinners featuring the cuisine. The first, more casual event (you can just show up) is this Friday, October 10 at The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen in the Mission from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. with Portuguese-style bar snacks, and the second is a seven-course dinner with wine pairings at The Commissary on Saturday, October 17; head here for more info and reservations to that one.
