Del Popolo's monster pizza truck has been roving the streets of San Francisco for three and a half years now, inspiring long lines and legions of followers for its Neapolitan-style traveling pies. It's now time that the restaurant has found a permanent home, which debuts tonight in Nob Hill with an expanded menu of small plates and seven to eight pizzas, plus beer and wine. The pizza oven is the definite centerpiece of the 1,700-square-foot, 50-seat space, which has bar, counter and table seating. Take a look around Del Popolo above, which will be open for dinner six days a week (closed Mondays). The truck will continue private catering, events and limited weekday lunches.
