It has been only six months since American restaurant Rove Kitchen’s Tendernob debut, but as of yesterday, it has already closed. According to a letter posted on the door and Rove’s Instagram account, a "colossal" rent increase was too much for the budding restaurant to overcome, Hoodline reported. "Without quadrupling our menu prices," Rove would not have been able to stay open at the same location, so chef/owner Ryan Yema is looking for a new location. "We WILL be back," the letter vowed. "Better than ever. With fried chicken for all!" That fried chicken had gotten rave reviews from the SF Examiner and SF Weekly, but it wasn’t enough to battle the rent increase. Stay tuned for new location updates.
