OAKLAND — Starting December 24 and running through December 30, Calavera is offering a $65 “Fiesta de la Abuela” tasting menu, based on the recipes of chef Christan Irabien’s grandmother. EMBARCADERO — In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Pan-Pacific International Exposition, Waterbar’s pastry chef Angela Salvatore has created a two-foot-high gingerbread replica of the Palace of Fine Arts that will be on display at the restaurant’s entrance through the rest of the year.
