UNION SQUARECrown & Crumpet is bringing its tea service to The Sir Francis Drake Hotel for “Tea Under the Tree” this month at various times. Tickets (available here) include a glass of sparkling wine, sandwiches, crumpets, scones, pastries, ornaments and, of course, a pot of tea. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND — Starting December 24 and running through December 30, Calavera is offering a $65 “Fiesta de la Abuela” tasting menu, based on the recipes of chef Christan Irabien’s grandmother. Dishes, which can also be ordered a la carte, include chile-stuffed salt cod, lobster tacos and pomelo panna cotta. [EaterWire]

EMBARCADERO — In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Pan-Pacific International Exposition, Waterbar’s pastry chef Angela Salvatore has created a two-foot-high gingerbread replica of the Palace of Fine Arts that will be on display at the restaurant’s entrance through the rest of the year.
