Mid-Market: It took a few weeks longer than the rest of the tenants at The Market, but Azalina's Malaysian has officially arrived at the Twitter building. The first official brick-and-mortar for entrepreneur extraordinaire Azalina Eusope, it features her famous laksa, Malaysian pineapple tea salad, and nasi lemak with beef curry. Seating is minimal, but it's open daily for both lunch and dinner. Status: Certified open. 1355 Market St.
Fisherman's Wharf: The Bacon Bacon empire continues to grow apace, with the debut of a new bacon trailer sure to delight Fisherman's Wharf tourists, in the park that also contains Carmel Pizza Co. and The Codmother. The menu is similar to the rest of BB's locations, with a bacon burger, bacon grilled cheese, and bacon bouquet. Status: Opening tomorrow, February 14. Lower Haight: The Lower Haight Asian-restaurant assault continues with new sushi spot Nara, which has taken over the Greenburger's space on Haight. It's the second restaurant from the Korean owners; the original is on Polk Street. Expect frankensushi like a California roll topped with Pop Rocks and an unagi roll stuffed with potato chips, as well as the standard nigiri and tempura. They also have an extensive sake selection, with 40 bottles. Status: Certified open. 518 Haight St.
Lower Haight: The former Cuco's space has been transformed into Emmanuel Cafe, a coffee shop with a selection of Salvadoran treats like pupusas, empanadas, and fried yucca. There are also breakfast burritos, and a standard American breakfast lineup of benedicts and scrambles. Status: Opening sometime in the next few days, pending inspections. 488 Haight St.
Oakland: Jaynelle St. Jean's PieTisserie, which left its space at Nido last year, is back in action with a brick-and-mortar of its very own. Expect Okinawan sweet potato, chocolate cream with pretzel crust, and other favorites. And for opening day tomorrow, she's selling slices for $4 and giving out pie samples.
