San Francisco's livery service wars appear to have escalated, after an Uber driver and a taxi driver collided Wednesday morning, causing the cab to smash into the 16th Street entrance of Mission bar mainstay Elixir.
According to Jen Balestrieri, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department, the crash occurred at 9:24 a.m., after the two cars collided on the 3200 block of 16th Street. Luckily, the bar was not open for business at the time, although the Chron reports that five people (presumably the drivers and their passengers) were checked out on the scene by paramedics and declined hospital treatment.
There's no word yet on the extent of the damage to Elixir; we'll keep you updated as details become available.
