SF's own Dominique Crenn is the second chef to be featured on CNN International's new Culinary Journeys, a show that takes leading chefs from around the world to new locations where they can be inspired to create new dishes. (Massimo Bottura starred in the first episode, and Alex Atala and Michel Roux, Jr. are set for future editions.) For her episode, Crenn heads to San Sebastian to recreate marmitako, a classic fisherman's stew she remembers from her youth. Along the way, the two-Michelin-starred chef of Atelier Crenn explains why farmers, not chefs, are the new rockstars; cooks with fellow Michelin-lauded chef Elena Arzak; and drinks her share of cider. The full episode is embedded above (part 1) and below (parts 2 and 3); you can also watch the three parts on CNN's website. And if you have yet to see Atelier Crenn's stunning episode of 60 Second Tasting Menu, that's worth a watch as well.
