b. patisserie Expanding Onto Divisadero With "B. on the Go"

Expect sandwiches, snacks and the arrival of beer and wine.

Inset: Aubrie Pick

Celebrated local pastry chef Belinda Leong's California Street patisserie will be getting a some additional square footage across the intersection of California and Divisadero streets next month. As Hoodline reports, Leong and her baker/business partner Michael Suas will open B. on the Go to serve sandwiches and snacks while alleviating the lines that have recently been stretching out the door of their original location at 2821 California Street.

According to Leong, the pair have "completely run out of room" and the new corner spot at 2794 California will finally give them the space they need to make use of a beer and wine license they secured for the original location. With a second kitchen, Leong and Suas will also free up space in the original patisserie for more of their beloved kouign amann, millefeuille and choux cream puffs.

Leong and Suas plan to have the new space open next month on June 1st. Prior to the b. takeover, the space was home to a couple of upscale corner markets, including a Blue Fog Market for a spell, none of which ever quite caught on.
