POTRERO HILL— Taste of Potrero is back for a fifth year, this time at the newly revamped, historic Pier 70. The event will raise funds for Daniel Webster Elementary School, to cover basic staff and services for the school. This is one of the better taste-around events of the year, with many excellent local restaurants such as State Bird Provisions, Nopa and Hillside Supper Club. The event takes place Thursday, May 14 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets here. [EaterWire]

The event is an auction and party filled with goods from Dandelion Chocolate, Foreign Cinema and St. George, as well as Bi-Rite Market, Dianda's Bakery and a whole host of other contributors. There will also be pop-up performances, a film screening and mini-tasting workshops from The Cheese School and Dandelion Chocolate (reservations required, but admission included in the purchase of a ticket). And, a silent auction will include prizes from places like Lazy Bear and ICHI Sushi. The event takes place Tuesday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m.; tickets available here. [EaterWire]

MISSION— Central Kitchen is launching a dinner series that focuses on the best produce of the season— from the past. The dinners showcase ingredients preserved at their best, along with an inside look at how each dish was conceived and created. And as a bonus, guests can take home some of Central Kitchen's excellent preserved goods to enjoy later. The first dinner will take place May 13, focusing on the flavors of winter in spring. Tickets for the dinner are available here. [EaterWire]

RUSSIAN HILL— Cozy neighborhood gem, Seven Hills, is hosting a five-course prix fixe dinner, with Marin Roots Farm. The dinner will feature lovely vegetables from the farm, and includes a personal CSA box to take home at the end of the night. The dinner is Tuesday, May 12; call (415) 775-1550 for reservations.
