MISSION— Cadence, the new restaurant from chef Joey Elenterio (Wayfare Tavern), Jay Bordeleau and Kate Bolton (Maven) is slated to open in July. In the meantime, get a sneak peek at the menu with a four-course dinner pop-up. The dinner takes place at Naked Kitchen on Friday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m.; tickets available here. [EaterWire]

MISSION— Lazy Bear is hosting a special dinner with Orange County chef Carlos Salgado (Taco Maria), recently named a Food & Wine Best New Chef. The menu will skew Mexican, with a longer tasting menu paired with mezcals. There'll be just one sought-after seating, so be sure to set a reminder to buy tickets— they go on sale Friday, May 22 at noon. [Lazy Bear]

BERNAL HEIGHTS— ICHI Sushi is now open for Sunday brunch, offering comforting Japanese-style brunch food. For those willing to stray from the traditional bacon and egg situation, there'll be pork miso scrambled eggs and tamago French toast with miso strawberries. And, naturally, they will be serving brunch cocktails like, strawberry mimosas. Brunch will be offered Sunday from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. [Tablehopper]

UNION SQUARE— Join Sara Deseran (Tacolicious), William Werner (Craftsmen & Wolves), Amy Guittard (Guittard Chocolate), Tina Dang and Lauren Godfrey for a discussion on "Gastronomical Delights." The talk is part of Cuyana's The Fewer, The Better Series and takes place on Thursday, May 21 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. And, most importantly, there will be snacks. RSVP here. [EaterWire]
