Mark Bittman Book Signing at The Pasta Shop; Fresh Brunch Cocktails at Central Kitchen

ROCKRIDGE— Head to The Pasta Shop in Rockridge's Market Hall, for a book signing and tasting with food writer Mark Bittman. He'll be signing copies of his new book A Bone to Pick, which focuses on the complexities of America's food system and how to improve it. MISSION— Celebrate the hypothetical start of summer (despite the overwhelming fogginess plaguing the city) with a fresh and fruity new brunch cocktail menu at Central Kitchen. NOB HILL—Top of the Mark's annual Summer Movie Nights are back, this time highlighting the British Invasion of the mid-60s. Every Tuesday from June 2 - August 25, they'll have a wine tasting from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., followed by a movie from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. The series kicks off on June 2 with a showing of I Wanna Hold Your Hand, a film about The Beatles' first U.S. appearance. NAPA— The Restaurant at Meadowood will host the Second Annual Young Winemakers' Dinner this year, bringing three emerging winemakers together for a collaborative event. Matt Iaconis of Brick & Mortar, Mark Porembski and Jennifer Williams of Zeitgeist Cellars and Greg Scheinfeld of Uproot Wines will each pour two of their wines, paired with a tasting menu from chef Christopher Kostow.
