Michelin-approved chef David Kinch shows no signs of slowing down in 2015, with the reopening of post-fire Manresa, the February launch of ManresaBread and now an upcoming project The Bywater, which just acquired its liquor license at the site of former Los Gatos dive bar Tommy's.
Chef-owner Kinch joins Manresa alum/ManresaBread partner Andrew Burnham to head up the project, which is named for a neighborhood adjacent to the French Quarter with a history of artsy, bohemian culture. Given the fact that Kinch got his start in the kitchen of New Orlean's renowned Commander's Palace under chef Paul Prudhomme, it wouldn't be unfair to assume that the menu will be inspired by the colorful cuisine of The Big Easy. Stay tuned for more on the concept from Kinch and friends in the coming weeks.
