Learn About Plates (And Plating) With Top Chef Louis Maldonado; Wind Gap Wines Dinner at Comal

BERKELEY— Join Louis Maldonado, executive chef of Spoonbar (and former Top Chef contestant) is teaming up with Jered (of Jered's Pottery) for an SF Design Week collaboration. Clay with Your Food will be discussion and demonstration on the art of plating— Jered will discuss how he designs for a chef's culinary vision and Maldonado will share plating techniques and prepare appetizers on the kiln (to be paired with wine). BERKELEY— Comal will host Pax Mahle, owner and winemaker at Wind Gap, for a special dinner and pairing from chef Matt Gandin.
