HAYES VALLEY— LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers was seen eating ice cream over the weekend, at Smitten Ice Cream in Hayes Valley. No word yet on what flavor he chose, but perhaps that sweet frozen-to-order treat had something to do with the 39-points he scored in Sunday's game against the Warriors. [Hoodline]

DUBOCE TRIANGLE— When San Franciscans aren't complaining about wintry summers, they're complaining about a heat wave. Here's an event to erase both from memory, happening tonight at Blackbird. It's Two-Tone Tiki Night, featuring a bonanza of rum-based drinks like Improved Piña Colada, with grilled pineapple, vanilla, cinnamon-infused rum, pineapple juice and coconut milk. The festivities start at 8 p.m. and carry on til close. [EaterWire]

MISSION— Patz & Hall co-founders James Hall and Heather Patz will host a special tasting at Naked Kitchen, focusing on the topic of terroir. Co-hosted by Tablehopper, the event will include the winery's chardonnays and pinot noirs accompanied by charcuterie from Peter Temkin (Show Dogs, Foreign Cinema) and Sonoma cheeses. The event takes place Friday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m.; tickets available here. [Tablehopper]
